Commercially made solar collectors will go for $25 to$35 a sqf, and yes, you get approximately 65% efficacy.
Low cost homemade solar collectors can be built by anyone with basic plumbing skills and will cost you as little as $5.00 a sqf. with easily achievable 55% efficacy.

All the materials needed to build this collector are available at your local building center, and maybe you have already the materials laying in your garage/workshop.
If you have no skills at all, you still can build these solar collectors with a little determination and our help, and in the same time save money on your heating bill.
